Napa Valley: Castello di Amorosa

We found this winery to be a very American concept.

Castello di Amorosa was built by Dario Sattui, a Californian of Italian heritage.  Over a period of 30 years, he built the castle using methods and materials that would have been used in Italy 700-800 years ago.  The castle now comes fully equipped with a moat, drawbridge, five towers, a well, stables, prison, torture chamber and wine cellars.

We contented ourselves with walking around the outside of it.
