Our ryokan was in a street which contained a number of apartment buildings.
It seemed to be a feature that these buildings should have a grand entrance …..
….. even if the entrance …..
….. was in a completely different style from the building itself.
It was a really beautiful day and the cherry blossoms were everywhere.
We walked down to the river …..
….. where the path was strewn with petals.
