Swimming at the Marriot, Doha, Qatar 10.05.2010.

Jane and Rick belong to the gym at the Doha Marriot (where Jane is training to Walk Hadrian’s Wall later this year), so Jane kindly invited us along as her guests to use the swimming facilities at a reduced rate.

The pool is heated in winter and cooled in summer. The thermometer in the taxi we took there registered that the outside temperature was 42.5, so I guess the pool water was being cooled. It was extremely pleasant anyway. Even the changing rooms were airconditioned.

The Marriot had its own private beach, so Jane and Pat went swimming in the sea.
