Chisa had arranged for Kazuko to be our guide in Hiroshima, as she knew them through her permaculture activities. Kazuko’s husband had a PhD in natural building, and worked as a builder and Japanese plasterer all over Japan, using traditional methods and natural materials.
Sadly, Kazuko had just suffered a miscarriage, so we declined her kind offer to come out with us all day. However, we did want to meet her, so we arranged to meet for coffee. She then walked over to the Peace Park and Atomic Bomb museum, which were not far away.
