While it had rained during the night, it was a beautiful blue-sky morning as we walked out "our" gate.
Down to the river.
"If Winter comes, can Spring be far behind?" (Ode to the West Wind, Percy Bysshe Shelley).
The Miroir d'Eau is the world's largest reflecting pool, covering 3,450 square metres. Located on the quay of the Garonne in front of the Place de la Bourse, it was built in 2006. The reflecting pool is made of granite slabs covered by two centimetres of water, and a system allows it to create mist every 15 minutes.
Unfortunately, it is emptied in winter, but as it had just rained, we were given a bit of an idea of what it might be like.
La Garonne, looking downstream towards Eglise Saint-Louis.
Pont de Pierre - I just love this bridge!
Pont de Pierre again.
I just liked the look of this cafe.
Place de la Victoire (and Stuart). The French do a lot of celebrating of victories.
Then we had lunch.
