While we’d had a beautiful breakfast at the Stuart Manor B&B on our first day in NZ, we had been having brought-from-home muesli in our room for breakfast every day since then. On this beautiful morning in Picton, Pat decided he’d like to go out for breakfast, so who was I to object? (Much as I love muesli.)
We sat in a beautiful cafe right on the front with this view of the sparkling harbour through the palm trees – quite Mediterranean. Eggs Benedict and real coffee never tasted so good.
To walk off breakfast, we took a stroll around the harbour:
The Inter Island ferry was boarding ready for departure.
Paradise duck.
We decided to take a walk to Bob’s Bay, around the corner from the main harbour. After starting off quite gently, the track, like many other tracks we have discovered in NZ, rose up quite steeply.
We could look down over the harbour to the Inter Island ferry…..
…..then it sailed majestically past us.
Looking down on Bob’s Bay.
The track down to Bob’s Bay was quite steep. Bearing in mind the fact that what goes down must come up, we decided that the view from above was sufficient for our purposes.
At the end of the walk.
Walked on 23rd April.
